CO as a Probe Molecule to Study Surface Adsorbates during Electrochemical Oxidation of Propene

چکیده
A major challenge in the electrochemical oxidation of hydrocarbons is understanding formation intermediate species, some which continue to react, while others are non-reactive or poisonous species that block adsorption further reactants. Herein we investigate identity and behavior adsorbates formed during partial propene. We employ two techniques: Electrochemistry-Mass Spectrometry (EC-MS) Attenuated Total Reflection Infrared Spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR). In both cases, use CO as a probe molecule, perturb ad-layer propene intermediates. EC-MS experiments, its intermediates were quantified by triggering their desorption via displacement with CO. show evidence for at least distinct classes adsorbates, stripping. redshift ?(C?O) mode was observed, IR spectroscopy, reflecting chemical environment arising from strongly bound

Electronic and electrochemical doping of graphene by surface adsorbates
Many potential applications of graphene require its precise and controllable doping with charge carriers. Being a two-dimensional material graphene is extremely sensitive to surface adsorbates, so its electronic properties can be effectively modified by deposition of different atoms and molecules. In this paper, we review two mechanisms of graphene doping by surface adsorbates, namely electroni...
متن کاملfrom linguistics to literature: a linguistic approach to the study of linguistic deviations in the turkish divan of shahriar
chapter i provides an overview of structural linguistics and touches upon the saussurean dichotomies with the final goal of exploring their relevance to the stylistic studies of literature. to provide evidence for the singificance of the study, chapter ii deals with the controversial issue of linguistics and literature, and presents opposing views which, at the same time, have been central to t...
15 صفحه اولIridium Oxidation as Observed by Surface Interrogation Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy
The formation of surface oxides on most metal, including noble metal, electrodes occurs before the onset of the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). An understanding of changes in surface structure and composition caused by the oxidation process is important to the field of electrocatalysis of the OER. In this work, the surface interrogation mode of scanning electrochemical microscopy (SI-SECM) was...
متن کاملapplying transitivity theory to gender analysis of efl textbook: : a comparative study.
efl/esl textbooks have been regarded as essential language teaching materials with which the learners spend about 70 up to 90 percent of their class time. the important role they play and their vast use make them not only influential in learning the language but also in shaping values and attitudes. put it another way, textbooks socialize learners using their contents (i.e. texts, illustrations...
